Description: This virtual class will go into depth about what supervisors need to know in order to engage most effectively with supervisees. Course benefits include: 1) Providing new supervisors with clear models for supervision to help them implement the complex set of supervisory tasks; 2) Help experienced supervisors (in practice settings and off-site in private practice) conceptualize what they already do well so they can function more effectively and consistently; 3) Helping administrative supervisors who wish to facilitate highly effective service to clients and job satisfaction for staff, i.e., boost morale and reduce staff burnout; and 4) Having your name listed on the NASW-Illinois Chapter Supervisor Registry which is made available to individuals looking for clinical supervisors. CANCELLATION POLICY: While we understand that emergencies do occur, once a participant has been registered and is expected to attend a course, the NASW-Illinois Chapter has already factored that person’s attendance into costs already absorbed by the chapter. Therefore, our cancellation policy for this continuing education offerings is as follows:
- Cancellations received more than two (2) weeks from the course date may request to reschedule for a future date of the same course for a rescheduling fee of $20.00 OR request a refund MINUS 50% of the course fee. If another date for the same training isn’t currently scheduled, you may request a refund MINUS 50% of the course fee.
- Cancellations received within two (2) weeks of the course date are eligible ONLY for requesting to reschedule for a future date of the same course for a rescheduling fee of $20.00. There is no refund for cancellations received within two weeks of the course date.
- Any no show for a course without prior cancellation notification will not be eligible for a refund nor the option to attend a future course at the absorbed cost.

CE QUALIFICATIONS: All courses offered through the NASW-Illinois Chapter meet the continuing education qualifications for LSWs, LCSWs, LPCs, LCPCs, LMFTs, RNs, LPNs, APNs, LCPs, and PELs (formerly Type 73) licensed in Illinois as required by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
